CUNA sets record straight on CU tax treatment

Monday, March 8, 2010 - 6:29 PM
From the CUNA news
Credit Union National Association (CUNA) economists have analyzed a study in Georgia about the impact of credit unions' tax exemption and determined the study is not a complete look at the exemption.
The article primary disputes many parts of this study, but it also has a good overview of the credit union tax exemptions.

While not the most newsworthy bank, there is one in particular who stands out for superior stability.  Woodforest National Bank (also known as Woodforest, FSB in GA, FL, SC, KY, NY, AL and Refugio, TX) provides superior stability while offering non-traditional banking options and hours. Check 'em out.

They're rated 5 stars by Bauer Financial (FSB is rated 3 stars, but legally, they're two separate companies under the Woodforest umbrella) and are on the Fed's superior banks list.
