FDIC Makes Public April Enforcement Actions

According to this FDIC press release there were 43 cease and desist consent orders and 9 prompt corrective actions that were issued in April. Some banks to receive cease and desist orders include Great Florida Bank, Coral Gables, FL; Bartow County Bank, Cartersville, GA; The Harbor Bank of Maryland, Baltimore, MD and Park Cities Bank, Dallas, TX. Some of the banks that received PCAs include Towne Bank of Arizona, Mesa, AZ and Broadway Bank, Chicago, IL.

Harbor Bank was one of those banks offering rates above other banks in my area.  I drive by one of their branches as I go to work and the branch is located in a strip mall.  A rather seedy strip mall to say the least.  I wouldn't put my money there although I am sure that "greedy" people looking for the highest rate will.
