Fed Official Backs Asset Sales Before Rate Rises [WSJ]

The Federal Reserve should consider selling some of its portfolio of mortgage-backed securities even before raising official interest rates in order to make monetary policy more effective, the president of the Philadelphia Fed [Charles Plosser] said Friday.
Plosser is another inflation hawk, but unfortunately, he's not a voting member of the FOMC this year.
