Health Savings Accounts are beneficial to those in good health. It offers a way to allocate money that would be tax deductible and earn tax free interest to cover medical expenses. If you are a sick or high medical use person, the high deductible part of the health plan negates the HSA benefits. Sometimes a HRA (health reimbursement arrangement) plus FSA (flexible spending account) are better than HSAs.
