How long is an "Extended Period"? [CR]

Calculated Risk Blog looks back at the history of FOMC statements and unemployment to predict when the Fed may start hiking rates. Based on his analysis, it looks unlikely we'll see a rate hike before 2011.

Good luck. I'm looking for maybe a 1/4 percent increase by mid 2011. If the Bernanke Fed does raise rates, if at all, it will be in minute increments over an "extended period". Unless there is obvious evidence of massive inflation I wouldn't look for any significant rate increases.
