How Much Money Banks Make from Customers

Friday, April 30, 2010 - 8:13 AM
How much money do banks expect to make off of checking and savings account customers? You have to include the money they make off of deposits (by making loans) and all the fees. It's not only the monthly fees and the overdraft fees, but also the fees that merchants pay when you use your debit cards. The Finance Buff has an interesting review that shows how banks make $500 per year off of the average customer.
