I Bonds Purchased in April Can Get Close to 2.33% APY for 11 Months

As I mentioned on Wednesday, the next I Bond inflation component will be 1.54%. If you buy an I Bond in April, you can get an 11-month effective yield of around 2.33%. MyMoneyBlog describes the math behind this. The main downside is that I Bonds are limited to $10K per calendar year per person. I have more details about I Bonds in this post.
