ING appeals against E.U. state aid ruling [MarketWatch]

While it wants some of the E.U.-imposed restrictions to be relaxed, ING indicated it isn't hoping to avoid the break-up of the business that is a direct consequence of the aid it received.

So it appears the plan to divest ING Direct by the end of 2013 is still on.
