It's Time to Cash In Old U.S. Bonds [WSJ]

WSJ article has some important tips if you have any old U.S Savings Bonds. For example, all Series H Bonds, many Series E Bonds and some HH and EE Bonds are no longer earning interest. A couple of other tips: Savings Bonds are exempt from state income tax and some old bonds only accrue interest once every six months so make sure you redeem at the right time so you don't lose 6 months of interest.
