Patriot Bank Cutting Balance Cap on Its Reward Checking Account

Patriot Bank reward checking customers have reported receiving an email informing them that the maximum balance that can qualify for the top rate will be falling from $50K to $35K effective 3/10/2010. Patriot Bank was one of the few banks offering a reward checking account nationwide that had a $50K balance cap. Refer to my the Patriot Bank review for more details.

@51hh, Thanks for catching that. Looks like this was another thing that changed. It was available nationwide last summer and a commenter verified it was nationwide as late as September. I guess it changed sometime between then and now.
