Schwab Bank High Yield Investor Savings Account Yield Falls to 0.50%

Charles Schwab Bank (0 stars) - Details
The Schwab Bank savings account yield fell from 0.75% to 0.50% APY. This is now the same rate as the checking account. This reminds me of ETrade. Refer to my Schwab savings account review for more details.

Actually it's still 0.75% if your balance is over $500,000!  haha  That's the biggest rate tier I've ever seen.

But it gets better! They don't notify you when a rate change occurs. They except you to check your statement or visit their website every day to know what the current rate is. At least HSBC notifies you when a change occurs.
