SunTrust's 3.00% 26-Month/49-Month CD Special May Soon Be Ending

A reader reported being told by a Central Florida branch manager that this 3.00% CD special will be ending on the close of business on Friday. This special has been around since February, so I wouldn't be surprised to see it end at all SunTrust branches. It's an unusual deal in that it requires 2 CDs: a 26-mo CD and a 49-mo CD. Both require equal deposits, and both have a 3.00% APY. Even for a 49-month term, a 3% APY is a good deal these days.
