Velocity Credit Union Extends 9-Month CD Special - Easy Membership

Velocity Credit Union has extended its special 1.76% APY 9-month CD special. It's now scheduled to last until 4/16/2010. Joining an association can qualify you for membership, and accounts can be opened online. Velocity is the Texas credit union that was on the verge of switching to private deposit insurance until the management and board changed their minds. So they're now staying with federal deposit insurance via the NCUA.
