Why Many Savers Are Not Looking Forward to the Kentucky Derby

Commonwealth Bank & Trust Company (0 stars) - Details
The Kentucky Derby is scheduled for later today, and that's important for many savers even those who may not be interested in horse racing. Why? Last year Commonwealth Bank & Trust Company guaranteed 4.50% APY for up to $25K on its reward checking account, Extreme Checking, through the Kentucky Derby 2010. Some may have feared the rates would soon be slashed. Apparently, it's not going to be that bad. A reader reported that he was told the rate will fall to 4.00% starting on May 15th.

So it continues to be a good deal. Unfortunately, it's only available for residents of Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana. Please refer to my account review for more details.
