Clackamas Federal Credit Union (OR) Has Rate Leading 5-Year CD
CD rates in the upper 2% range still exist: Clackamas Federal Credit Union’s (Clackamas FCU) 60-month Share Certificate currently earns 2.70% APY. The minimum opening deposit is $500, with no stated balance cap.

An additional “Member Perks” 15 bps are available on the 60-month Share Certificate, giving it a 2.85% APY. The Truth-In-Savings document explains how to qualify for the 15 bps.
On your fourth product take advantage of a .15% increase on Share Certificates or .25% decrease on fixed rate and term loans. Required products include a savings account, a checking account, and one additional deposit or loan product.
The 60-month Share Certificate is also offered as an IRA (Traditional, Roth, CESA), but with an APY 40 bps lower.
As stated in the Truth-In-Savings document, the Early Withdrawal Penalty reads as follows:
Terms 24 months and greater = 270 days dividends
Amplify Checking
Last May, Clackamas FCU unveiled its new rewards checking account, Amplify Checking, with an initial 3.00% APY on qualifying balances up to $15k; that rate is still in effect.
There’s only one qualification requirement: at least 12 debit card purchases that post and clear during each monthly qualification cycle.
The Amplify Checking account has no monthly service fee, no minimum balance requirement, and no minimum opening deposit requirement. Nationwide ATM fees will be reimbursed up to $25 per month, if qualifications are met. eStatements are free, but there is a $3 fee for each paper statement requested.
Availability
Headquartered in Milwaukie, Oregon, Clackamas Federal Credit Union’s field of membership (FOM) is residency-based, with individuals who live, work, worship, or attend school in Clackamas County eligible for membership.
Family members of current Clackamas FCU members are also welcome to apply.
Joining Clackamas FCU and/or opening an Amplify Checking account can be done online, but opening a CD cannot be done online. Clackamas FCU has temporarily closed four of its eight Oregon branches, but in-branch appointments at the Canby, Happy Valley, Sandy, and Oregon City branch locations can be scheduled by calling the individual branch. Appointments are available Monday through Friday (9:00 am to 5:30 pm) and Saturday (9:00 am to 1:00 pm).
Your Regular Share account ($5 minimum) is required to
established your ownership as a member of Clackamas.

Established in 1957 as the CLACKLO Federal Credit Union, the original FOM was limited to county, municipal, state, and federal employees who worked in Clackamas County. Following the 1984 merger with the Milwaukie Community Credit Union, the Credit Union rebranded as Clackamas Federal Credit Union. Nearly 20 years later, a community charter was adopted, allowing the residents of Clackamas County to join. Clackamas FCU is currently Oregon’s 12th largest credit union, with more than 33,000 members and assets in excess of $413 million.
