After reading many reviews and @csmith77 I opened with Evansville Teachers FCU and it was very easy to open online with docusign for signing documents Received a online confirmation of approval and what to expect and a number to contact if I had questions.
Following day I decided to call to get some questions and during that call was able to get member information after validating my and wife's info. With login details.
Very friendly representative. She stated for first few months there are limitations on Remote Mobile deposits and external ACH in and out. Can be higher by calling back in a few months.
Initial limits:
Mobile Deposits:
3k daily, 7k weekly, and 15k monthly
ACH IN
4k daily, 4k weekly, and 10k monthly
ACH Out
2k daily, 2k weekly, and 5k monthly
She stated that I can go to another Credit Union with my member # and use full services and deposit money without limitations. She offered to find my nearest Credit Union that would allow me do that. There was a credit union 6 miles away that I could do full services to make deposits, withdrawals, etc. Very nice.
Again, very friendly experience and look forward to doing business with them.
I recently opened a new rewards checking account with Evansville Teachers FCU and was amazed at the speed and professional quality of the sign on process. They used a Docusign program to sign the required document. I was approved and able to sign on to the on-line banking program all on the same day. I only needed to call CS to get my on-line banking initial logon and password. The customer service was excellent.
I've been with ETFCU for a little over a year now since moving to the area and I've been very impressed with their services as my credit union. The staff is always friendly, there are several convenient locations, and I like the products they offer. I have a savings and checking account with them. It's always easy to go into a branch and deposit or withdraw money from the tellers but they also offer smart teller stations where you're connected to a live teller via camera which is great. The ATM accepts cash and counts it in real time for added convenience. Their mobile app is also great to see current balances and make transfers between accounts. I've been very pleased with my credit union.
I've been banking with Evansville Teachers Federal Credit Union since January of 2017. I have used several credit unions in the past when I lived out of state but this one has been the best by far. Their Vertical Checking account provides an awesome 3.00% APY and they also provide cashback offers for different restaurants and merchants around town. Their customer service is top-notch and I genuinely enjoy using their services. Their new home office is beautifully built and they seem to be concerned with making sure they have the most recent technology as well as a modern design and comfortable surroundings. The customer service representatives were very helpful and friendly when setting up my most recent checking account and making changes to my current account. I'm so glad to have found ETFCU and I hope to remain a member for many years to come.
We have a savings account here at this credit union. Our initial visit to set up an account was kind of long. It was on a Friday and the tellers were more interested in chit chatting than getting us in quickly. They did apologize for our wait and offered a drink and snack. We set up our account with no issues. We have part of our paychecks directly deposited into that savings account each payday and we have never had any issues. They have been very good about sending us account updates and changes made for customers. I prefer to do all my banking here!
Talked to four different customer service representatives to resolve an auto payment. Four different stories on why it wasn't paid....but never their fault...Payment was not paid even though it had been authorized. This cost me $20.00 from the bill due. I will be changing banks.
This credit union executed a refinance for my husband at the time and falsified documents during the closing. My signature was added to the promissory note for the debt and therefore they sued me for foreclosure. From 2013 until currently I have been lied to and mislead numerous times by both credit union staff and the attorney for ETFCU regarding my status as account holder and have omitted documents from my view. To date the balance of their falsified fiasco is $121.000 for a 64 k mortgage that isn't mine. More than anything is the waste if my time and sanity trying to defend myself. It's a six year nightmare and promises to continue.
I had a checking account open with them for about two years frequently able to make external transfers in and out of my account with out an issue. Recently two pull transaction would not go through because they for whatever reason could not verify the my external accounts. They then contacted me and told me they would have to close the account and did not give me the option to work with them to help with the verification process. The risk management team is obviously too risk averse which doesn’t help anyone.
