At the end of last week, Grand Rivers Community Bank (GRCB) raised the rates on its 12-month CD (1.45% APY) and 60-month CD (2.65% APY). The minimum opening deposit is $1K, with no balance cap.
According to CSR, the Early Withdrawal Penalty is 180 days interest for either CD.
I wrote about GRCB’s Kasasa Cash checking account when it was first added to their product line in June 2014. At that time, qualifying balances up to $10K earned 2.00% APY, with qualifying balances over $10K earning 0.40% APY. The 2.00% APY for qualifying balances up to $10K is still in effect, but the APY for qualifying balances of $10K+ has been lowered to 0.25% APY. Non-qualifying balances earn 0.05% APY.
The Kasasa Cash qualifying monthly requirements are:
- Minimum of 12 check card purchases post and settle
- Enrolled in and receive eStatement notices
- Enrolled in and log into Online Banking
