6.00% 6-Month CD at an Illinois CU (Healthcare Associates)

Healthcare Associates Credit Union is offering a special 6% 6-month certificate of deposit. The minimum deposit is $6,000, and it requires new money. The credit union will be offering this CD until they've reached $6 million in deposits.

Membership is open anyone who lives or works in parts of DuPage County and in the Oak Lawn Area. Employees of many healthcare organizations are eligible to join. Please see the credit union's membership eligibility page for the full details. All members are required to maintain a minimum of $100 in their savings account.

Branches are located in the Illinois cities of Naperville, Oak Lawn, Park Ridge and Winfield. The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 65421). It has $183.0 million in assets and 35,523 members.

The minimum on a savings is $5 when CD is active. The requirement of $100 is upon CD maturity only.

The Naperville branch of this HACU is next door to my office and I opened a CD on Monday. The entire process was easy. However, I did realize later that HACU did a hard pull at Experion. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised :-(
