Hershey Federal Credit Union has a special 14-month certificate with an APY of 3.55%. Minimum deposit is $1,000, and new money is required. The CD is available as both a regular and IRA certificate. This rate is listed in the credit union's rate table as of 1/29/09.
Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Dauphin or Lebanon Counties, Pennsylvania. You can also be eligible via Select Employee Groups (which of course includes the Hershey Company) and via family members. Please see their membership page for the full details. A minimum $25 deposit into the regular share savings account is required for membership.
Branches are located in Hummelstown, Hershey and Cleona, PA which are just east of Harrisburg.
