For the past few years, IBM Southeast Employees' Credit Union (IBMSECU) has been offering limited-time Promotional Certificates with competitive rates. October's Certificate "du jour" was an 18-month (3.00% APY), which was available for less than a month. Earlier this week, IBMSECU added a 26-month Promotional Certificate, earning 3.05% APY. This limited-time offer can be opened with a $1k minimum deposit and is capped at $250k. There is a limit of one 26-month Promotional Certificate per member.
The 26-month Promotional Certificate is also available as an IRA (Traditional, Roth, CESA), earning the same APY with the same funding requirements.
While IBMSECU offers its Diamond and Platinum Rewards Members an additional 5 bps on Certificates with a $25k minimum deposit, Promotional Certificates are excluded from that bonus.
