Redding Bank of Commerce is offering some competitive 3-year CD rates. They include a 2.27% APY for a $100K minimum and 2.17% APY for a $10K minimum (2.12% in Roseville). There's also a special 3-year Add-On CD special with a 1.97% APY and a special 3-year Adjust-A-Rate CD special with a 2.07% APY. Both require a $2,500 minimum deposit. The Adjust-A-Rate CD appears to be a bump-up CD. I would consider the Add-On CD to be the most valuable even with the lower rate. These rates are listed in the bank's rate sheets as of 11/11/2010. Note, rates vary some between Redding and Roseville.
As a comparison to internet banks, the best 3-year CD rate is 2.25% APY at iGObanking.com as of 11/11/2010.
There are also some good deals on savings and checking accounts. I reviewed these in a previous post.
It appears that a branch visit is required to open an account. The bank has branches in Northern California in the cities of Redding and Roseville.
The bank has an overall health score at DepositAccounts.com of 3 out of 5 with a Texas Ratio of 21.74% (above average) based on 6/30/2010 data. Please refer to our financial overview of Redding Bank of Commerce for more details. The bank has been a FDIC member since 1982 (FDIC Certificate # 24074).
