Hello guys please is there any reason why suntrust bank would keep my account under review for over 2 months now without proper account closure, anytime i call them they claim it is under review and once my account finally gets closed they will mail me a letter and a check containing my ending balance... please is there any reason why takes so much time to get closed? other finacial institutions dont act like this shitty ass bank...........................!!!!
I've banked with SunTrust for 5 years. Off and on problems, but my local branch usually takes care of me. My account was "frozen" by the fraud department after I made two deposits totaling just over $2k last Friday. Spoke to my branch banker and they said should be no problem. The reason I was concerned was because my payroll check from the two weeks prior had been "on a hold" (which was drawn off a local bank) and it cause multiple overdrafts (it was supposed to be direct deposited, but there was an issue so my CEO wrote me a physical check). Same thing on this past Friday. Then on Saturday, I'm paying for lunch for me and my kids- and my card was declined. After hours on the phone with the "fraud department" they turned the card back on. Just went into a different branch and talked to a different banker who said the fraud department has CLOSED my account and will mail me a check in 25-30 days. How am I supposed to pay for kids without money for 30 days???? Called the fraud department and they refused to provide any information. AT ALL. This is called THEFT where I come from. I've never had a bank treat their customers so poorly. I will make every effort to boycott this awful excuse for a "financial institution!!!"
