A Good Alternative

Posted by: DavidY | Sep 17, 2014

Admittedly, I can't say I have much experience with credit unions. I have used them more as an alternative option, and have not yet become well acquainted.

Credit unions appear to be a good way to get credit at competitive rates, and US Employees is no exception. Overall, they are fairly reasonable to work with, and seem like a good down to earth option which you can use in order to be able to better negotiate what it is you're looking for. The customer service is excellent, being what it is designed to provide, and they are overall a good company with few negative surprises.

Admittedly their website could stand to have a few more options. Overall, it seems like the website wasn't designed very well, and was more of a basic format designed to get you to contact them than it is a full comprehensive experience. I haven't tried the mobile version, but I'm not sure how it would differ.

Overall, that's a tiny problem though. I'd recommend going to them.

Additional Factors: Institutions with a small asset base, a short operating history, or negative return on assets can represent an instability risk beyond what their financial ratios indicate. U. S. Employees Credit Union has a relatively low asset base.
