Now through April 18, 2017 (this year's tax filing deadline), Windsor Locks Federal Credit Union (WLFCU) is offering special rates on its 5-year Jumbo Term Share Certificate (2.42% APY, $100k) and 5-year Term Share Certificate (2.27% APY, $500).

The 5-year Certificates are also available as IRAs (Traditional, Roth, and CESA), earning the same APYs with the same funding requirements.

As stated on the Rates page, the Early Withdrawal Penalty (EWP) reads as follows:

For any Term Share Certificate account, the penalty we may impose for early withdrawal
will equal six months (180 days) dividends on the amount withdrawn subject to penalty.

  • 2.14% APY, closed at Year 4

Availability

Headquartered in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, Windsor Locks Federal Credit Union’s field of membership (FOM) is residency based, with individuals who live, work, worship, or attend school in Hartford County, Connecticut, eligible to join.

Joining Windsor Locks FCU and/or opening a Term Share Certificate can be done at the sole branch, located on Spring Street in Windsor Locks.

The Credit Union has an “online” membership application, which just collects basic personal information.
