Website Improvements

We're working to modernize the appearance of the site. Over the next day, we’ll have a new site shell and new bank pages. Other pages will get a refreshed look in the coming weeks.

No content is changing. Just the format is changing.

We’ve done a lot of testing of the new site, but it’s possible that some aspects of the new site won’t work properly in a specific browser. If you find anything that is not working properly after the site change, please email or PM me about the problem you’re seeing. Please provide the browser, browser version and the Windows version that you’re using.

It will be hard to make a perfect site better. Can't wait to see what you have in mind.

Good job Ken and technical partners - and the "Dedicated to deposits:  deals, data and discussion" tagline is distinctive and clever.

I really like the new website, Ken.  So far no problems on my end.  Thanks for keeping everything improved.

Ken, the new institution home page is terrific - nice visible graphics, overall health is prominent, and you have added a link to make it easier to set an alert for the institution, which has proven to be a challenge for some readers in the past.  Details on field of membership is displayed separately for credit unions, and that is a huge timesaver in the search for deals.

Kudos again!

Looks like there is an error when you are displaying the various ratings. On this page, http://www.depositaccounts.com/banks/institution-for-savings.html, the Texas Ratio is listed twice, but one of the gradings is a C+ and the other A+ (something like that).

cd :O)

What A Mess !

Guess I'm one of those Old Dogs that doesn't want to learn new tricks.

#10  What new tricks?  There must be a problem with the computer you are using.  Everything is still here and it's the same "Click" and go to whatever site we need. Things just seem better organized to find quickly.  I really can't see what different changes were made except everything looks more professional now (at least on my computer).

How does the new letter rating system relate to the old star system? Is there a conversion table? I think I prefer a star system because it is simple & unambiguous. In a letter system, I would wonder how much different is a B- from a C+ ? Is the difference between C and C+ greater, the same, or less than the difference between C+ and B- ?

Win XP; Opera

Some referenced link went out of boundary; e.g.,

@Sandra, Below is the scale. We changed to letter grades so there will be no confusion between average review ratings and these health ratings.

5.0 - A+
4.5 - A
4.0 - B+
3.5 - B
3.0 - C+
2.5 - C
2.0 - C-
1.5 - D
1.0 - F (1.0 or lower)

Ricochet:  I just checked the Bank Rates with my computer and it is working fine.  Maybe it is your system.

I have not had a chance to check out everything yet so maybe certain parts work differently on different computers.

Note, there was an issue with the top nav menu not displaying on some older IE browses. That has now been fixed. Hopefully, that will resolve the prloblems.

@Ricochet, What browser and browser version are you using? And can you email me a snapshot of the browser showing the page getting chopped in half? That will help us debug the problem.

Thanks,

Ken

Can anyone tell me how we get notified that we have PMs waiting in our INBOX now?  It used to show up when we login but now the only way to know is if we check the PM Inbox everyday from what I see.  Has the notification been stopped?  Thanks.

When I have a PM it will come into my email account.

The PMs have never been sent to our email accounts.  This must be new.  I accidentally found the PM last night.  It wasn't with my email.  I'll have to keep a watch for that in the future if that is the way Ken is doing it now.  Thanks.

BTW, I just got another PM and was not notified in my email.  Does anyone know how it is done now?  Thanks.

I'm afraid the email alert enable for PMs is hard to find. It's in the "Edit profile" page @

www.depositaccounts.com/cp/profile.aspx

Thanks Ken.  I found it and activated it for my PMs.  Should not be a problem now.
