Tyler is known as The Rose Capital of the U.S. because it is home to the country’s largest rose garden, but there is much more than beauty found in this city. Tyler hosts over 20,000 students and is home to a University Health Service Center, The College of Engineering, and two regional hospital systems making it the technology and educational center of the region. As the economic hub of Northeast Texas, Tyler and the surrounding communities have created a need for several financial institutions. There are 36 banks and 30 credit unions that have placed their headquarters in the Tyler area.

Among the region’s most notable institutions one will find Southside Bank, Texas Bank and Trust Company, Citizens National Bank in Henderson, Austin Bank, Texas N.A., and First Bank & Trust East Texas.
