BayPort Credit Union is offering three competitive share certificate specials. These include a 4.00% APY 11-month CD, a 4.05% APY 25-month CD and a 4.60% APY 46-month CD. Minimum deposit is $2,500. These rates require a checking account with direct deposit. But even without this relationship, these specials are very competitive with rates just 25 basis points lower. The specials are available as both regular and IRA certificates. These rates are listed in the credit union's rate table as of 1/21/09. The effective date on the table is 1/13/09.
Membership is open to those who live, work, worship, volunteer, or attend school in the following Virginia cities: Chesapeake, Poqouson, Franklin, Portsmouth, Hampton, Suffolk, Newport News, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Williamsburg, or in the following Virginia counties: Gloucester, Southampton, Isle of Wight, Surry, James City or York.
