Grafton State Bank is offering a special 6.00% APY 100-day certificate of deposit. The minimum deposit is $5,000. It also requires opening their MainStreet Interest Checking account with a minimum deposit of $100, but this gives you a $100 bonus. There are no monthly maintenance fees or minimum balance requirements, however, you are required to maintain at least 2 other services which can include a CD, credit card, or ATM/Debit card. The offer is available through February 28, 2007.

I spoke with the CSR in the bank and was told that the promotion is valid only for the Grafton location to celebrate their 100th anniversary. You can only open this account by visiting the main office in Grafton. Branches do not participate in this promotion.

I also called about this promotion, and they said you actually have to live in Wisconsin to have an account there, as they will not allow out of state funds to come in. Guess they don't want all our money after all... sounds credit unionish.
