Flagstar Bank continues to offer up to $100 in bonuses for its checking account. I had first reported on this in
March. This promotion doesn't seem to be listed at the bank's website, but it has been advertised in the Fort Wayne News Sentinel. The ad is available online
here. The first $50 requires direct deposit. The second $50 requires direct deposit and bringing in your old checks. A $50 minimum opening deposit is required. From my call in March, I was told that they do a hard credit inquiry in the application and that opening the checking account requires a branch visit.
