Texas Leadership Bank
Texas Leadership Bank is offering a special 5.55% APY 12-month certificate of deposit. The minimum deposit is $2,500, and it requires an existing or new Texas Leadership Checking Account. They do have a free checking account with a minimum opening deposit of $100. This special CD doesn't seem to be listed at the bank's website. It was advertised in today's Dallas Morning News. The ad is available online here.

The bank is located in Royse City which is about 20 miles east of Dallas on Interstate 30. It's a new bank that was just established in 2006. It's FDIC insured (FDIC Certificate # 58312).
