5.25% Money Market Account at a Florida Bank (TransCapital Bank)

TransCapital Bank is advertising a 5.25% APY money market account. The yield is guaranteed until January 2008. The minimum balance required to earn this yield is $5,000. This special doesn't seem to be listed at the bank's website. It was advertised in today's Naple Daily News. The ad is available online here.

I last reported on this bank in June when they were offering 5.55% CDs. The current CD rates have dropped but are still competitive with yields up to 5.25% APY.

The branch mentioned in the ad is the Bonita Springs branch. It's not clear if this special is also available at the bank's other branches in Hallandale Beach, Delray Beach and Sunrise, Florida. The bank is FDIC insured (FDIC Certificate # 35050).
