5.55% 5-Month CD at an Illinois Bank (Millennium)

Millennium Bank is offering two special short-term CDs. The first is a 5.55% APY 5-month CD. The minimum deposit is $10,000, and it requires opening a Millennium Free checking account. The other special is a 5.35% APY 6-month CD. This has a minimum deposit of $1,000, and doesn't seem to have the checking account requirement. The maximum deposit for these CDs is $100,000.

It's a newly established small community bank located in Des Plaines, Illinois which is the northern suburbs of Chicago. It appears to be a local deal. Note, this has no relationship to the foreign Millennium Bank (see post). This Illinois Millennium Bank is FDIC insured (Certificate # 58348).
