4.17% 17-Month CD and Other High Yield CDs at South Jersey FCU

South Jersey Federal Credit Union continues to list a special 17-month CD to commemorate the opening of their new Moorestown branch. It has an APY of 4.17% and a rate of 4.09%. Minimum deposit is $1,000, and the maximum is $70,000 per member account. In addition to this special, the credit union's standard CD rates are also very competitive. The top rates range from 3.66% APY for 1 year to 4.07% for 5 years. Minimum deposit is $50,000. Rates are 0.10% lower for a $20,000 minimum and 0.20% lower for a $1,000 minimum. CDs are available as both share and IRA certificates. These rates are listed in the credit union's rate table as of 2/04/09.

Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school any of the following New Jersey communities: Atlantic City, Bridgeton, Camden, Millville, Pleasantville, Salem and Vineland. You can also be eligible via select employers or via family. Please see their membership eligibility page for more details. Membership requires a one-time $10 fee and a minimum deposit of $25 into the Statement Savings account.

Branches are located in the New Jersey cities of Deptford, Camden, Pleasantville, Egg Harbor Township, Vineland and Voorhees. The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 3951).

After many weeks and months the special 4.17% APY 17 month CD has just ended sometime yesterday. Keep an eye out for future specials.
