Sequestration Plan If There Is No Deficit-Reduction Deal

Sequestration will be effective starting Jan. 2 unless Congress can reach a deficit-reduction deal to head it off. The budget cuts are mandated by the 2011 Budget Control Act, which requires across-the-board cuts of $109 billion per year for nine years in an array of government programs.

This action will be another smoke that will disappear in the political loops very soon.

It will take much more than such an act (truly an act or a play) to save the economy and the country.
