Good Deal At Carter Bank & Trust

Obtained today a 6mo. CD rate of 1.00. I've been looking at them for awhile and while there I asked about how to get. Seems the only way is on a walk-in basis with branches in NC and VA. Website is limited in scope and asks that you call for the latest rates which were going to change today by the way. Other rates offered at time of my purchase revealed the following; 6mo-1yr @ 1.00, 1yr @ 1.10 with rates increasing by 0.10 ea. yr. to 5 yrs. For the short term I couldn't pass it up. Hope this helps and have a safe holiday seaon.
