Don't blame it all on the Government. This (and the next many) generation(s) of Americans maybe (1) too un-disciplined to save for retirement, (2) too greedy to invest blindly into the stock market (so goes the money along with 2000/2008 bear markets), (3) too unlucky to get into the worst job market of the century, and (4) getting too old to die (which requires even more funding in retirement).:D
