City County CU 5-Year ADD-ON CD 2.28%APY

This 4-star DA rated institution is offering Premium members a 5-year CD with add-on feature.  CDs with an add-on feature are useful if you think that general CD rates are going to be lower over the term of the CD.

Premium membership requires

• Checking Account with at least one debit transaction per statement cycle
• VISA credit card with a credit limit of $5,000 or greater
• $20,000 combined deposit / loan balances or an eligible first mortgage
  
  Certificates of Deposit and/or IRAs with balances totaling $10,000 or greater can substitute for the active Visa credit card requirement.

Membership in the credit union is open to anyone who lives or works in a number of Florida counties, as well as employees of SEGs (Special Employee Groups) listed on their website. 

There is an online application for membership.  You can also apply by phone, and then stop by a branch to complete the opening paperwork and make the initial deposit. 

Lower CD rates are available for different levels of membership.    CDs require a $500 minimum deposit to open.
