Help; Credit Score Bill Being Introduced

A bill is being introduced in Congress this week to give you your
real (FICO) credit score for free. It would make sure the score
you’re given is the one actually used by the lender. This bill
would give you your score free alongside your free credit report.

Getting a bill introduced, and getting it passed, are two different
things in Washington D.C. If enough consumers demand free credit
scores, it can happen.

This is a tough fight, since the credit reporting agencies already
oppose it because they make big money selling you your own scores.

The more people who ask for free scores, the better chance there is

This is the fifth source which provides free credit reports I am hearing about. It never stops surprising me how people skip that part where they should order a credit report. How can they possibly not understand that credit score still means a lot these days. It opens new horizons. Honestly, I would have even taken out payday loans if it was required to pay for this service. It is better to keep a track of everything rather than when it comes to a mortgage or even a car loan they understand how it is convenient to have a good score. Thank you for letting us know about this new opportunity

This legislation, titled The Fair Access to Credit Scores Act of 2013,
got introduced today. It is sponsored by Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Tenn.; and
