I Read An Interesting Article About Debit Card Risk
I read an interesting article about debit card risk:
http://finance.yahoo.com/banking-budgeting/article/109125/10-places-not-to-use-your-debit-card?mod=bb-checking_savings
This led to another interesting article with a list of 25 banks whose debit cards have zero liability -- much like credit cards:
http://www.creditcards.com/credit-card-news/zero-liability-debit-cards-1273.php?aid=7704c6a5
My own bank -- USAA -- is not on the list. I have a $50 liability on my debit card if I report the fraud within two business days, and could lose up to $500 if I report it after two days. I sent them an email saying I would love zero liability. If there are other USAA members here, you might want to join me in my campaign.
