You'll continue to be able to withdraw cash, of course, but prepaid debit cards will also be an option for your withdrawal. 

From Consumer Reports via Consumerist:
What if ATMs dispensed prepaid debit cards? This seems like a terrible and counter-intuitive idea to us, but it’s real. You can already make your withdrawal in card form at a few credit unions in Washington, D.C. and Arizona, and more big banks are prepping to introduce the technology to their ATMs soon.

Well, one disadvantage that I bet will apply: ATM fees. I currently use my ATM card from my credit union only at ATM machines that are free for me to use, which are all over everywhere, including at all the 7-Eleven stores. But I'll bet I won't be able to withdraw with a prepaid card withoiut paying a hefty fee. It might be convenient, but it won't be cheap. It won't quite be the same.
