University Of Iowa CCU Converting Debit And Credit Cards From VISA To Mastercard

Monday, September 2, 2013 - 6:55 PMUniversity of Iowa Community Credit Union - Details
On a banner at the home page of the credit union:
As mentioned in the August 14th mailing to members, the UICCU is converting its debit and credit cards from Visa to MasterCard over the next several weeks. Credit Cards will be mailed the end of August and Debit Cards in November. The only exception to this are the Visa Gold cards. [...]  Phone calls to the UICCU may take a little extra time during this conversion process. Thank you for your patience as we convert these cards, and please remember that UICCU will never call you and ask for your card information.

In a "member news" section, the credit union announces its goal of completing the conversion before 11/15.  All rates and terms will remain the same, and rewards points (if applicable) will transfer over to your new card as well. Note that the FAQs state that account numbers will change for both the debit and credit cards so any member with automatic deductions from either credit or debit will need to be updated at the merchant site.    Also, see here for information about the new Master Card credit card benefits.
