NavyArmy CCU (Subtly) Changed Their Second-Tier RCA Rate

Friday, September 6, 2013 - 6:07 AMNavy Army Community Credit Union - Details
Liberty Checking: (3.51%, $25K) stays the same; but the rate (1.01%, > $25K) was subtly changed to (0.5%, > $25K).

I have to move some excess out of my NACCU accounts.

Ouch, that's going to hurt.  One more account will add to your already high required transaction count, but the good news is that they kept the first-tier rate intact (for now).

Thank-goodness they kept the $25k rate the same!

I'm not as worried about the amount over $25k because at that point, I'd be looking for another Rewards Checking Account.

The great thing about the Corpus Area is that there are other high-paying Credit Unions in this area and Texas where you can place money that will earn above the 1.01%.

Ex. Chemcel FCU is paying 3.50% on up to $20k with the standard requirements + 12 transactions...

That's an option for me for above $25k...

It is interesting that you mentioned Chemcel FCU; those were the two CUs (NACCU and Chemcel FCU) that I highlighted in one thread for some secret benefits of RCAs; both offered 1.01% beyond $25K and $20K respectfully.

Great that you can have both:-)
