Here are the recommended questions you may ask:

Do you dedicate yourself to in any particular areas?
How long have you been in insurance? How long with this specific organization?
What firms get most of your business and why?
How are the corporations you deal with valued?
What current education programs have you taken? What authorizations, if any, do you have?

Finally, get his insurance number…

Some of the questions above might be a rude to hear. Nevertheless, you have to make this action in order to be sure of your decision.

Questions to ask your agent about long-term care insurance?
  • Is the agent licensed to sell insurance in your state?
  • When did your company last raise rates for long-term care insurance policies?
  • How long has the company been selling long-term care insurance?
  • What nursing homes, residential care facilities and home care providers are covered under the policy?
  • May I hire anyone I choose to provide personal care or homemaker services under the policy?

I would want to know who and how many people in his own family already have long term insurance and with what company?  If it isn't good enough for them to buy, I don't want it either.
