On a broad level, prices haven’t changed that much over the last year. But that masks some items in your household budget that have moved quite a bit higher — and some that have dropped.
MarketWatch combed through the consumer price report to highlight, of the items that have the biggest weight, which moved the most.
If that’s cumbersome to understand, think of it this way — if the price of arugula jumps, it won’t necessarily impact your budget much. If the price of gasoline changes, even by a smaller percentage, then it will have a major impact.
