Doomsday Is Here! WSJ Front Page: End Is Seen To Free Checking

I knew this day would come. Here's the first paragraph:

Bank of America Corp. and other banks are preparing new fees on basic banking services as they try to replace revenue lost to regulatory rules, in a push that is expected to spell an end to free checking accounts for many Americans.

the "interchange fee" provision in the financial bill is the fatal bullet. these jackass politicians are either fools or can be bought or both. if you google "interchange fees" you will not find one article on the internet that thinks the new provision is a good idea, and yet it's about to become law and destroy rewards checking.
