Looking at Bankrate.com's review of Darby Bank (parent company) of March 2010, it would appear that Darby might soon be on life support.  Net loss of $7 million, Return on Equity (-98%), Non-performing Asset Ratio of 191%, . . .  The next knock on the door might be from the folks at FDIC.

We have a more updated financial review of Darby Bank here which is based on 6/30/10 data. Their ratings are low. Texas Ratio is 377.75% (anything over 100% is considered poor).

Well I followed up, called Darby today and the process is to send in a withdrawal form to Darby. They e-mailed me a form, and you can mail/fax/scan and e-mail the signed form and they will process it the same day. Pretty simple.

This is for the 36mo 4% apy CD, with penalty free withdrawals on each anniversary date.
