2% Sure Saver Certificate (25-Month Term)

Justice Federal Credit Union (0 stars) - Details
It looks like an installment savings account.

Terms: $100 initial deposit, $50 minimum monthly allotment

"A Sure Saver Certificate can be established with as little as $100 for a term of 25 months. A payroll allotment or direct deposit from another one of your Justice FCU accounts must be established so that a minimum of $50 per month is automatically transferred to this account. At maturity, the certificate may be renewed or transferred to a Justice FCU account. "

I'm unclear from the text above if you can open it with MORE than $100. If so, you could almost think of it as a 2-year CD and open it with as much as you want, and keep adding the required $50 each month.

I STRONGLY recommend anyone stay away from this credit union. There have been a lot of people complaining about even so much as the sign-up hoops you have to jump through. And my experience is that they treat you like dirt, like a criminal.

I had possibly the worst banking experience of my life with them just this past Monday. See my post at:
