On a daily basis, we are calculating our worth. What kind of car you drive is a statement about your worth. (In theory, at least.) Tour coworker wants to know what your salary is. (If it’s more or less than theirs, that is.) We are constantly negotiating, a process that asks us to determine the value of goods and our self-worth.
