Derivatives Crisis, Anyone?

Nothing like a glimspe at potential financial calamity to drive home the futility of begrudgingly seeking and accepting meager deposit rates.  Better to acknowledge all possible outcomes than to fixate soley on eventual recovery / return to normalcy, whatever that was.  Hopefully this scenario is an outlier and not a foregone certainty.
