Oceanfirst Bank Offering Bluechip Money Mkt Account With Rate Of 1.30% Guaranteed Through 9/1/2012

Ocean First Bank is offering a BlueChip Money Market account with rate of 1.30% APY.  Rate is guaranteed until 9-1-2012, and applies to balances from $25,000 to $499,999.  You must also open a SimplyGreat Checking account.

This offer is not on the bank website, but was advertised in the local paper this past weekend.

Rate tiers are:

Balances < $15K  Rate 0.15%

From $15K to $24,999  Rate 0.20%

From $25,000 to $499,000 Rate 1.30%

Over $500,00 rate is 0.50%  (You may be able to open more than one BlueChip account to keep under $500K per account, if you are fortunate enough to have a high deposit balance).

OceanFirst has branches in Monmouth County and Ocean County, NJ.  A branch visit is required to open the account.
